I’m looking for a meticulous, native-level English proofreader who is currently based in the United States to polish a series of documents I’ll be sending over the next few weeks. The files vary in length and purpose—think concise business emails one day, longer articles the next—so I need someone comfortable switching registers while keeping grammar, punctuation, and overall flow spotless.
You’ll receive each piece in either Word or Google Docs. Please return two versions: one with tracked changes so I can see every tweak, and a final clean copy ready for use. A quick turnaround is important; let me know how many words you can reliably handle per day and any preferences you have for scheduling batches.
If you’ve proofread similar mixed-format projects before, I’d love to hear a brief example of your approach and the typical time you need per 1,000 words. Consistency, attention to nuance, and respect for the writer’s voice will be key, and I’m aiming to build an ongoing relationship with someone who can slot these proofreading requests into their weekly workflow without fuss.
Feel free to include any relevant certifications or software tools you like to use (e.g., Grammarly, PerfectIt, Chicago Manual references). I’ll share the first set of files as soon as we agree on availability and process.
