Native Tatar Speech Recording Project

I’m putting together a small, fully-remote data-collection project and need adult native speakers of Tatar—specifically those who feel most comfortable in Kazan Tatar—to record short speech prompts. You’ll work from home, use your own smartphone microphone, and capture the audio in clean, uncompressed PCM/WAV format. Because I rely on the recordings for acoustic research, a very quiet room with minimal background noise is essential; if that describes your usual setup, you’re the perfect fit.

Here’s how the job works: once you accept, I send a script of short phrases. You read each line naturally, record, and upload the files through a secure portal. I verify audio quality, and once everything passes a quick spot-check you receive payment promptly at the agreed hourly rate of $10.

Deliverable
• A complete set of script lines recorded in Kazan Tatar, 16-bit/44.1 kHz PCM or WAV, clearly labeled and ready for download.

Acceptance criteria
• All lines present, intelligible, and free of clipping or background noise.
• Recorded on a smartphone microphone, consistent volume throughout.
• File naming and format exactly as provided in the instructions.
