Video Editor Needed for Short Narrative Film & 7-Minute Teaser (Full Copyright Transfer). Project Overview:
I am looking for a talented and experienced narrative video editor to work on a short film and a 7-minute teaser for the project. The ideal candidate should have an eye for cinematic storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact.
What You Will Do:
• Edit the short film (approximately 45 minutes, narrative structure).
• Create a compelling 7-minute teaser/trailer from the footage.
• Basic sound design and audio syncing (final mix/color grading is a plus but please specify if you do it).
• Add subtitles in both languages: when the narration is in Greek, subtitles will be in English; when the narration is in English, subtitles will be in Greek.
Crucial Requirements & Copyright Terms (Please Read Carefully):
1. 100% Intellectual Property & Copyright Transfer: Upon completion and milestone release, all copyrights, final video exports, and project files (Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve, etc.) will be 100% owned by the client. You will be required to sign the Freelancer.com IP Transfer Agreement electronically upon completion of the project.
2. Copyright-Clean Assets: Any music, sound effects, or stock footage used must come from licensed platforms with clear commercial use rights for film festivals and online distribution. You must provide the license links/certificates.
3. Confidentiality: A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) applies. The footage and final film cannot be shared online, published, or used in your personal portfolio/showreel until the film completes its official festival run, and only after explicit written permission.
4. The freelancer must have experience editing films longer than one minute and provide portfolio examples of completed movies or longer narrative projects.
Payment Structure:
Payment will be made in three installments:
1. Delivery of the first rough cut of the film.
2. Delivery of the final edit of the film and the teaser.
3. Delivery of all project files along with proof of rights for music, sound effects, or stock footage used and signing of the rights transfer agreement.
