I’m building a cross-platform mobile game that turns a friendly blind wine tasting into an interactive experience on both phones and the living-room TV. Players pick an avatar—a bottle, glass, decanter or cork—and travel across two illustrated game boards: the Old World map (Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Spain) and the New World map (Argentina, Chile, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, USA).
Core mechanics
• Each turn a player answers a wine trivia card drawn from three difficulty decks worth one, two or three steps on the map.
• The first to reach the final region wins, with the action mirrored on the TV so everyone can follow the race.
Essential features
• Wine scanning & database: when someone scans a bottle, the label data is stored and later revealed once the round is over so friends can see who guessed correctly.
• Real-time multiplayer: phones act as controllers, the TV (via AirPlay, Chromecast or similar) displays the shared board.
Style & feel
Bright colours, friendly illustrations and playful animations should give the app a relaxed, party-game vibe—think casual board game more than formal sommelier tool.
Deliverables
1. UX/UI mock-ups for both iOS and Android, plus the TV companion view.
2. Functional prototype integrating camera label-scan, question decks and basic multiplayer turn logic.
3. Clean, well-commented source code ready for future feature additions such as in-app wine package ordering.
If you have experience with Unity, Flutter or React Native and can sync a phone game to a big screen smoothly, I’d love to see how you’d tackle this.
