I need to take an existing GNU-based CPU application that drives the RAM unit in my RF system and make it feel at home on Windows. Your primary task is to craft clean, reusable C++ build scripts that compile the code base with the MSVC toolchain, producing binaries ready for our embedded hardware device.

Once the binaries are produced, I also want an installable and updatable package so the engineering team can flash new releases to the target device in the field without touching a compiler again. A ready-to-run Windows bundle would have been another route, but the install-and-update flow on the device is the real priority here.

Key deliverables
• C++ build scripts (CMake, batch, or PowerShell—whatever suits MSVC best) that run on a clean Windows machine with the latest Visual Studio installation
• An installer/update package tailored for the embedded hardware device, including clear versioning and rollback support
• Concise setup notes: toolchain prerequisites, one-command build steps, and device-side installation instructions
• Proof the workflow works: a short screen-capture or log showing a clean clone, successful MSVC build, and package installation on the device

Acceptance criteria
1. Running the script on a fresh Windows box with MSVC 2019/2022 produces identical binaries every time.
2. The generated package installs, updates, and rolls back on the embedded hardware without manual tweaks.
3. All steps are documented in less than two pages—no hidden gotchas.

If this fits your skillset in C++, MSVC, and embedded deployment pipelines, I’m ready to share the repository and device access procedures so you can get started right away.
