I’m looking for a reliable video editor for a long-term Movie Recap YouTube channel.
Each finished video will be approximately 15 minutes long.
I will provide:
Full script
Voice-over
Movie title
Editing/style reference
The editor should already understand Movie Recap editing and be able to create fast-paced, engaging videos that keep viewers watching.
Your job will include:
Finding and selecting the correct movie scenes that match the narration
Synchronizing the visuals accurately with the voice-over
Keeping the pacing fast and engaging
Using clean cuts, zooms, crops, reframing, and simple transitions when needed
Keeping the voice-over as the main audio
Reducing or removing unnecessary original movie audio
Adding background music when appropriate
Using text and simple graphic elements for important names, moments, or punchlines
Maintaining a clean and professional Movie Recap style
Understanding common copyright-risk-reduction practices used in Movie Recap editing, while understanding that no editor can guarantee zero copyright claims
The editor should also be able to obtain the necessary movie/source footage independently through lawful sources they have access to. I do not want to provide the full movie file for every project.
Budget: $10 USD per completed 15-minute video.
Expected workload:
4 videos per week
8 videos every two weeks
Approximately 16 videos per month
This is intended to be long-term work for the right editor.
Reliability is very important. Please do not apply if you regularly miss deadlines or cannot maintain a consistent weekly workflow.
When applying, please send:
1–3 Movie Recap videos you personally edited
Your normal turnaround time for one 15-minute recap
Confirmation that you can realistically complete 4 videos per week
Confirmation that you accept the $10 USD rate per completed 15-minute video
The editing software you use
A short explanation of your experience editing copyrighted movie footage for recap channels
We may start with one paid test video for $10 before beginning the long-term collaboration.
Start your proposal with the words “MOVIE RECAP” so I know you read the full project description.
