I already have a clean STL scan of my motorbike’s rear-light recess and now I need that geometry converted into a neat block-off plate I can pop straight onto the printer. The goal is a tight, flush fit that follows the scan perfectly, hides the empty cavity and still looks factory once it is printed in PETG with a matte finish.
Here is what I need from you:
• Refine the provided STL scan, trimming any noise and defining an accurate outline for the plate and its lip.
• Add suitable thickness, edge radii and any subtle reinforcement ribs so the piece is sturdy yet not over-built for PETG.
• Integrate simple mounting details (tabs, holes or clip features) so the plate can be fixed without adhesives. I will share photos and basic measurements of the surrounding frame once we start.
• Supply a watertight, manifold STL ready for FDM printing plus the editable file from your preferred CAD package so I can tweak in the future.
I will test-fit the first print; if it drops in flush and sits solidly, we are done. If minor tweaks are needed, I’m happy to run one round of adjustments. Let’s get this plate ready for the printer!
