Build MossTrade Website (MVP) (BELOW I HAVE Q&A) I'm looking for an experienced web developer to build the first version of my startup website, MossTrade. MossTrade is a platform that connects verified contractors with commercial clients looking for qualified professionals. I already have the branding, logo, and overall vision. I need someone who can build a clean, modern website that is easy to use and can grow over time.

No. There will be two separate registration options: * Register as a Contractor * Register as a Commercial Client Each user type will have its own registration form and dashboard.

2. How should the contractor directory work?
The contractor directory should allow users to search and filter by: * Trade or service * City or state * Verified status Simple search and filtering is sufficient for Version 1.

3. Will there be messaging between contractors and commercial clients?
Yes. Version 1 should include a basic internal messaging system that allows contractors and commercial clients to communicate directly through the platform.

4. What information should contractors provide during registration?
Contractors should provide: * Company name * Contact name * Email address * Phone number * Business address * Trade or service category * Service area * Insurance information * License number (if applicable) * Company description * Company logo * Portfolio photos (optional)

5. What information should contractors showcase on their public profiles?

Yes. For Version 1, all approved contractors may browse available commercial projects. Advanced matching by trade, qualifications, or location can be added in a future release.

8. How will contractor verification work?
Contractor verification will be managed manually through the Admin Dashboard. Contractors must provide proof of business insurance during registration. If a contractor has a professional or state license, they may also submit their license number for verification. An administrator will review the submitted information. Once approved: * The contractor profile will display a **Verified** badge. * If the contractor's license has been manually verified, the profile will also display a **Verified Licensed** badge. No automated verification or third-party integrations are required for Version 1.

9. What is the goal of Version 1? The goal is to build a clean, professional MVP (Minimum Viable Product) that includes the core functionality needed to launch MossTrade. 12. Are contractor profiles public?
Yes. Contractor profiles should be publicly accessible so potential clients can discover them through search engines and contractors can share their profiles. Certain actions, such as posting projects or sending messages, will require a registered commercial client account.

13. Will Stripe be included in Version 1?
No. The platform should be designed so Stripe can be integrated later, but paid memberships and subscription billing are not required for the initial launch. I think this keeps the MVP focused while still giving you the features that make MossTrade valuable from day one. Public contractor profiles help contractors market themselves, a simple messaging system enables communication without the cost of live chat, and deferring Stripe reduces development time while preserving flexibility for future monetization.

14. What business credentials should contractors provide?
Contractors should provide proof of General Liability Insurance during registration. They may also provide bonding information and a professional or state license if applicable. Supporting documents may be uploaded for administrator review. After manual verification, contractor profiles may display the following badges: Verified Insurance Verified Bond Verified (if applicable) Licensed Verified (if applicable) All verification will be completed manually through the Admin Dashboard in Version 1.

15. How should messaging work?
Commercial clients should be able to start a conversation in two ways: Directly from a contractor's public profile for general inquiries. From a commercial project posting when discussing a specific opportunity. If a conversation is started from a project, it should remain associated with that project for context. Conversations started from a contractor profile will function as general messages.

16. How should the design feel?
The website should feel modern, premium, and trustworthy—similar to a high-end SaaS platform rather than a traditional contractor website. The design should be clean, spacious, and business-focused, with intuitive navigation, subtle animations, and minimal clutter. Every page should reinforce professionalism, verification, and trust while feeling equally welcoming to both commercial property managers and contractors. Use modern typography, high-quality imagery of skilled tradespeople, and a refined color palette that conveys confidence and reliability.
