I need a full-featured remake of Microsoft Visual Basic 6 that runs natively on Windows and behaves very much like the original, yet removes its old-era limitations. At a minimum the new IDE must:
• open, build and run legacy .vbp solutions without manual migration steps, so I can continue maintaining large codebases that still pay the bills;
• include an advanced, modern code editor (syntax highlighting, IntelliSense-style completion, refactor helpers, dark theme, etc.);
• treat .png assets as first-class citizens—forms, picture boxes and resource files must load and display them with alpha transparency exactly as they handle BMPs today.

TwinBASIC is a good reference point for the level of polish I expect, but I am after a standalone executable that I can redistribute internally. You are free to choose the implementation stack, provided the final product installs with a single MSI/EXE and has no giant runtime requirements beyond what a typical Windows 10/11 machine already ships with.

I am open to baked-in team-collaboration features (live code share, built-in Git panel, etc.) if you believe they mesh naturally with the core, yet they are not mandatory for the first milestone.

Deliverables will be accepted when:
• my collection of real-world VB6 projects (supplied after kickoff) compiles and runs identically in the new environment;
• .png transparency renders correctly in all standard controls;
• the editor passes a short checklist of productivity features we will agree on up front;
• the installer/uninstaller leaves no registry or file debris.

If you have already experimented with VB6 parsing, ActiveX hosting, or created an IDE in C++/C#/Delphi, please mention it in your bid along with links or demos.
