Modern Rustic Luxury Cottage Design

I’m crafting a one-of-a-kind, high-end homestay cottage on a small coffee-plantation in Coorg and need an architect who can turn a Modern-Rustic vision into a fully articulated concept package that blends seamlessly with the rain-forest climate and rolling landscape.
It should be duplex with the balcony.

The look and feel
My ideal aesthetic borrows the clean, pared-back lines of contemporary boutique hotels while celebrating the warmth of natural timber, stone and textured finishes you might see in upscale nature retreats or luxury cabins. Expansive glazing is non-negotiable; I want large, floor-to-ceiling windows that pull the surrounding greenery right into the room and a rooftop viewing deck for 2 people who can selit with the chairs and table to enjoy the view, that frames sunrise over the plantation.

Scope you’ll cover
• Exterior architectural concept, including façade articulation and roof form suited to heavy monsoon rain
• Window & door schedule that maximises cross-ventilation and views
• Cohesive material and colour palette with clear sourcing notes for local contractors
• High-level interior design direction that carries the modern-rustic language indoors (spatial flow, key finishes, built-in furniture ideas)
• 3D visualisations/renders that sell the story from multiple vantage points—day and night scenes, interior and exterior

Deliverables should be presentation-ready, allowing my local structural team to take it forward to detailed drawings and approvals.

Inspiration references I gravitate toward include intimate boutique hotels, luxury villas and secluded nature retreats that feel simultaneously refined and rooted in place.
