I am preparing to launch a premium seating line—think chairs and Table—tailored for the Indian market. The aesthetic is firmly modern, yet it must feel warm and inviting in Indian homes. I already have early mood boards and functional requirements; what I need now is an expert who can translate those ideas into manufacturable products.
Your role will cover the full product-development arc: developing preliminary concepts, refining them into detailed 3D CAD models (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or a tool you are most fluent in), and generating production-ready drawings with complete material and hardware specifications. The core material palette is set—wood for structure, metal accents for strength and visual contrast, and upholstered fabric for comfort—so every design decision must respect their individual properties and the realities of Indian manufacturing partners.
Because this is the pilot piece in what could become a broader collection, confidentiality is essential. I will share ergonomic data, dimensional targets, and brand guidelines once we have a signed NDA.
Deliverables I need to see at the end of this initial engagement:
• Three to four concept iterations with brief rationales
• Finalised parametric 3D model files and high-resolution renders
• Exploded technical drawings with tolerances, joinery details, and a complete bill of materials
• Manufacturing specification pack, including surface-finish call-outs and upholstery pattern layouts
• Guidance notes for prototyping and cost-effective mass production
To move forward, please send:
• A succinct portfolio excerpt showing comparable seating projects
• A short note on your experience with wood-metal-fabric hybrids
• Estimated timeline broken into key milestones and your cost for completing the above deliverables
If the collaboration goes smoothly and the prototype tests well, I plan to extend the partnership into additional SKUs and ongoing design support.
