I’m building a role-playing game on Roblox that recreates the buzz of a present-day metropolis. Players will clock in at jobs, earn wages, shop, buy or rent apartments, and completely tailor their look before hitting the streets. The vision is clear, but I need a Roblox Studio specialist who can translate it into clean Lua code and intuitive UI.
Core scope
The game is a Role-playing experience with a Modern city life setting. Three cornerstone systems have to work seamlessly together:
• Customizable player avatars – layerable clothing, accessories, body scaling and colour options, saved to DataStore for instant recall.
• Economic system (jobs, money) – scripted workplaces, salaries, bank accounts, in-game currency and POS terminals that sync across servers.
• Housing and real estate – purchase or rental, editable interiors, persistent furniture placement, landlord/tenant permissions.
Additional Features:
• Police station, fire station, and EMS with specific functionalities or missions.
• Vehicles with customization options.
• Player-acquirable houses with customization options.
• Street signs, traffic lights, trees, roads.
• Doctor’s office, grocery store, high school, hair salon, daycare.
• Streetlights and a statue of my Roblox profile picture.
Acceptance criteria
1. All data (avatar configs, balances, property ownership) persists reliably across sessions.
2. No noticeable server lag with 30 concurrent players in one neighbourhood.
3. Clear, modular Lua code commented for future updates.
