I’m ready to move Landed from concept to a touch-ready prototype. The game is a mobile-first, multiplayer life-sim where players arrive in a new city, balance money, energy, belonging and homesickness while prices rise, run savings circles with friends, host dinners and track down hard-to-find ingredients. Although designed with diaspora and migrant communities in mind, it should feel welcoming to anyone.
Engine & platform
I’ve settled on Godot so the build targets both Android and iOS from a single codebase. Lightweight networking will support real-time or asynchronous play.
Core systems to implement
• Resource-management loop for money, energy, belonging and homesickness
• Social-interaction layer that lets players form savings circles, schedule dinners and chat in-game
• Trading system for ingredients and other scarce items
Art direction
Everything must follow a clean, realistic 2D style—soft palettes and approachable proportions rather than high-contrast cartoons. For the prototype I need:
• One neighbourhood backdrop in day and night variants
• A small set of character sprites with basic emotion poses
• Icons for key resources and tradeable ingredients
Deliverables
1. Playable mobile build (APK/TestFlight) and complete Godot project files
2. All 2D art assets in layered PSD or vector format
3. Brief technical documentation so another Godot dev can continue the work
I’ll share a detailed 15-page brief covering all screens, user stories and references once an NDA is signed. Milestones can follow a simple sequence: grey-box mechanics → networking stub → first art pass → polish.
If you’re comfortable wearing both dev and art hats, fantastic; a tight duo also works. Experience with Godot, solid multiplayer fundamentals and a portfolio showing realistic 2D work will make your proposal stand out.
