I run a mobile game that attracts solid download numbers, but too many players leave after the first couple of sessions. My core objective is to turn those early installs into loyal, long-term users and lift overall retention rates.
Where I need your expertise
• Redesign the onboarding flow so new players reach a “first win” quickly and understand the game’s value straight away.
• Plan and execute an effective cadence of push notifications and other re-engagement messages that draw lapsed users back at the right moments without feeling spammy.
Key deliverables
1. A churn-point audit with analytics screenshots and clear prioritisation of issues.
2. Wireframes (or screen recordings) illustrating an improved tutorial/onboarding sequence, including copy and calls-to-action.
3. A 30-day push notification calendar: message copy, triggers, segments, and success metrics.
4. Implementation notes and lightweight code snippets compatible with Unity, Firebase Analytics, and OneSignal, plus an A/B testing plan.
Success criteria
A demonstrable uplift of at least 15 % in D7 retention, backed by before-and-after metrics pulled from Firebase.
First draft recommendations are needed within two weeks, followed by iterative support as we test and refine. If you’ve driven retention gains for other games, especially using Firebase or OneSignal, I’d love to see brief examples alongside your proposal.
