Project Description:
I am looking for an experienced specialist in game client reverse-engineering to help implement custom character skins and assets into a 2D mobile game project. The game relies on a Cocos2d-x client.

The custom skin you will be working with was extracted from a Unity game. Someone has already successfully ported skins from this exact Unity game into our client in the past, and I have those working models available for you to reference. This new Unity skin should fit into our framework smoothly, as none of the assets or effects were made using Unity's Particle System.

This is not a standard Android developer or game artist role. I need someone who can handle the technical integration of these Spine 2D assets into the live client. The primary goal is purely visual: ensuring the skin, effects, and animations work properly and that the skills visually trigger on screen. Exact server-side skill rule configuration or backend syncing is not important for this task.

Additionally, I am looking for someone who can document their workflow. As part of the deliverables, I need a step-by-step guide on how this skin was implemented so I can replicate the process for the second skin onwards.

Required Skills:

Cocos2d-x Modding & Lua: Experience with Lua runtime patching to integrate new visual assets into the client.

Spine 2D Runtime: Deep understanding of Spine skeleton and atlas formats and how to port skeletal assets and animations into existing clients.

Game Client Reverse-Engineering: Ability to navigate and modify existing client files to hook up new animations and visual effects.

Deliverables:

Successful visual implementation of the extracted Unity skin, effects, and animations into the Cocos2d-x game client.
Ensuring the skills and animations visibly trigger and display correctly during gameplay.
A clear, step-by-step guide detailing the exact client-side implementation process for future use.

To Apply:

Please briefly describe your experience with Cocos2d-x modding and Spine 2D integration. Let me know if you have tackled similar client-side asset replacements or ported assets from Unity to Cocos2d-x before.

This should be an easy straightforward job for someone who did this before.
