I’m commissioning a one-of-a-kind girls size 14 pageant dress for the “glitter” segment of an upcoming competition. The look I have in mind is a short, age appropriate dress in a fresh mint tone, made absolutely dazzling with full-coverage sparkle. Whether you work best with glitter mesh, crystal-strewn appliqués, or a clever mix of sequins and rhinestones, the finished surface needs to explode under stage lights.
Key design points
• Dress length: above the knee to keep movement free while showcasing legs. Could also be a jumpsuit.
• Statement piece: a sweeping cape, train or overskirt long enough to catch air during choreography yet light enough for a quick turn. It can be detachable or sewn in—whichever balances drama with practicality.
• Embellishments: at least one bold bow, rosette, or similar 3-D detail that ties into the mint palette.
• Construction: fully lined, soft against skin, with secure closures that stand up to fast costume changes.
What I’d like from you
1. A quick concept sketch or digital mock-up so we can lock the silhouette and embellishment placement.
2. Fabric and trim swatches (photos or mailed) to confirm shade and sparkle level.
3. Work-in-progress photos at major milestones.
4. Final garment pressed, packaged, and shipped on or before the agreed deadline.
The dress must arrive stage-ready, hemmed to the performer’s exact measurements, and able to handle rehearsals without shedding or snagging. If this challenge excites you and you have a portfolio of high-impact pageant or dance costumes, let’s talk timelines and logistics so we can bring this mint-green showstopper to life.
