**Meta Healthcare Data-Source Restriction: Full Technical Audit, Remediation and Appeal**

I am seeking an experienced Meta specialist to investigate and resolve a website-level Health and Wellness category restriction affecting an Australian beauty and self-care ecommerce brand.

This is not a standard ad-rejection or advertising-copy task. The restriction is attached to the website/data source in Meta Events Manager and is limiting ecommerce event reporting and campaign optimisation.

I need someone who will investigate the complete Meta and Shopify ecosystem, look beyond obvious website copy issues, identify historical and current classification signals, complete approved remediation work, and submit a properly supported appeal.

## Background

- The brand may initially have been incorrectly identified or self-categorised as healthcare.
- Earlier versions of the website contained medical-style and postpartum-related wording that may have contributed to the original classification.
- Four rounds of changes and four appeals have already been completed.
- Most previous remediation focused on visible website copy.
- The latest round also removed “postpartum” from product names and relevant URLs, with redirects introduced.
- Several products have now been removed from Meta Commerce Manager because they may have contributed to the classification.
- The Facebook Page category has been updated to reflect gifting/retail rather than healthcare.
- Pixel events and data points are now intended to use neutral ecommerce language, without medical terminology or health-related goals. This still needs to be independently verified.
- The classification remains active.
- The business sells self-care and beauty products, including two essential Kansa massage tools that must remain part of the business.
- The desired classification and positioning is Beauty and Self-Care, not Healthcare.

## Project objective

The objective is to remove the website/data-source Health and Wellness restriction and have the business accurately assessed as a beauty and self-care ecommerce brand.

I need an honest assessment of whether this outcome is achievable. Do not guarantee success if the evidence does not support it.

## Required investigation

The audit must cover all current and historical factors that remain within the business’s control. It must not be limited to website wording.

Review:

1. Meta Events Manager restriction details and assigned data-source category
2. Current and historical dataset and Pixel configuration
3. Conversions API and Shopify data-sharing configuration
4. Standard events, custom events, event parameters and customer information parameters
5. Event names, content names, content IDs, content categories and product identifiers
6. Custom conversions, including inactive or legacy conversions
7. Website custom audiences and other audiences based on potentially sensitive page activity
8. Shopify’s Facebook and Instagram sales channel
9. Commerce Manager account settings
10. Active, archived, rejected and previously removed catalog products
11. Product-feed titles, descriptions, categories, tags and attributes
12. Any supplementary feeds or third-party feed applications
13. Current and historic page URLs, product handles and redirect paths
14. Page titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, structured data and social-sharing metadata
15. Shopify collections, tags, search pages and hidden or unpublished pages
16. Facebook Page and Instagram business categories
17. Business Portfolio, ad account, domain and asset associations
18. Previous appeal information and possible reasons for repeated rejection
19. Ads, creatives or destination pages that may continue to reinforce a healthcare classification
20. Any legacy plugins, integrations, tags, scripts or data connections still transmitting old information
21. Other less obvious technical or historical signals that Meta may be using for classification

## Historical data review

I understand that Meta’s internal historical records cannot simply be erased.

The freelancer must identify historical elements that are still active or accessible within my accounts and explain what can legitimately be removed, corrected, disconnected, archived or replaced.

This includes old:

- Catalog records
- Product-feed information
- URLs and redirects
- Custom conversions
- Website audiences
- Events and parameters
- Shopify integrations
- Third-party applications
- Business and Page categories
- Data-sharing settings

Do not delete or recreate the Business Portfolio, ad account, dataset, Pixel, Facebook Page, Instagram account or verified domain to bypass enforcement.

## Stage 1: Audit, recommendations and approved remediation

First, complete a read-only audit and provide a written report containing:

- Every possible current or historical trigger identified
- Where the trigger is located
- Evidence or screenshots
- Why it may affect the classification
- The exact recommended action
- Whether the action is essential, advisable or optional
- Any effect on SEO, Shopify, Google Merchant Centre, Google Ads or customer experience
- Any product or benefit wording that may need further consideration
- An honest assessment of the likelihood of reclassification
- The proposed appeal strategy

No changes may be made until I provide written approval.

After approval, implement only the agreed changes.

Provide a completed change register showing:

- The original setting, wording or configuration
- The approved change
- Where the change was made
- Date completed
- Screenshot or other evidence
- Whether the change can be reversed
- Any follow-up action required

**Milestone 1 will only be released after the audit is completed, I have approved the recommendations, and all approved changes have been implemented and documented.**

## Stage 2: Appeal and successful reclassification

After completing the approved remediation:

- Confirm that the account and website are ready for review
- Prepare a factual, evidence-based appeal
- Explain why the business is a beauty and self-care retailer rather than a healthcare provider
- Document the remediation already completed
- Submit the appeal through the correct official Meta review channel
- Provide proof of submission
- Manage reasonable follow-up communication relating to that appeal
- Provide Meta’s final response

**Milestone 2 will be released after the appeal is submitted and Meta approves the reclassification or removes the Health and Wellness restriction.**

Please only apply if you accept that this is an outcome-based second milestone. Do not submit a proposal expecting final payment solely for submitting another generic appeal.

## Access and change controls

- Initial access must be read-only wherever possible.
- Access must be provided through Meta Business permissions, Shopify collaborator access or another controlled method.
- I will not provide personal passwords or two-factor authentication codes.
- Every proposed change requires my written approval.
- Do not delete assets, products, datasets, feeds, audiences or integrations without specific written approval.
- Do not contact Meta or submit an appeal before I approve the final appeal wording.
- Do not create replacement accounts or assets to evade Meta enforcement.
- All work must comply with Meta policies.

## Budget and milestones

Total fixed budget: **AUD $100–$150**

The payment will be divided equally:

- **Milestone 1: 50%** after the approved audit recommendations have been implemented and fully documented
- **Milestone 2: 50%** after the appeal has been submitted and Meta has approved the reclassification or removed the restriction

## Application questions

Please answer every question:

1. Have you successfully handled a Meta website or data-source category restriction, not merely a rejected ad?
2. Have you worked specifically with Health and Wellness data-source restrictions?
3. Can you provide anonymised evidence of a comparable successful case?
4. What areas would you investigate beyond visible website copy?
5. How would you investigate historical catalog, Pixel, event and integration data?
6. How would you determine whether Commerce Manager contributed to the classification?
7. How would you verify that Pixel and Conversions API events are using neutral ecommerce data?
8. What historical information can be cleaned, and what information cannot be removed from Meta?
9. Have you worked with Shopify’s Facebook and Instagram sales channel?
10. What would you examine before deciding that another appeal is justified?
11. Based on this brief, what do you consider the three most likely remaining causes?
12. Do you accept that no changes can be made without written approval?
13. Do you accept the two outcome-based milestones described above?
14. Confirm your fixed price and estimated timeframe.
15. Explain what support you will provide if Meta requests additional information after submission.

Generic proposals will not be considered. Please do not guarantee success or recommend deleting and rebuilding the entire Meta account.
