I have mapped out Job Tracker, a full-stack MERN web app that centralises every stage of a job search. At its core, the platform already covers secure JWT authentication, user registration/login, CRUD operations for job applications, status labels (Applied, Interview, Offer, Rejected), search and filters, and a responsive React interface backed by MongoDB Atlas, with deployment targets on Vercel (front-end) and Render (API).
What I still need is the end-to-end build that ties those pieces together and, most importantly, addresses the real pain points users have voiced: they want clear guidance on how to prepare for interviews and a way to match their resume to each job. Because of that priority, the dashboard should go beyond basic status tracking to include:
• An interview-prep area—think notes, tips, and space for users to log questions or research for each upcoming stage.
• A resume-matching assistant that highlights skill gaps for any saved job description (skill gap identification is the key feature users picked).
Clean, modular code, intuitive UI/UX, and straightforward deployment instructions are part of the acceptance criteria. Once live, I should be able to invite beta testers, collect feedback, and iterate quickly without major refactors.
