Medical Virtual Assistant Needed

I’m looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Virtual Assistant with hands-on experience handling prior authorizations for laboratory tests and imaging studies.

Responsibilities include:

* Submit and track prior authorization requests with insurance companies and payer portals.
* Review patient information, medical necessity documentation, CPT codes, and ICD-10 codes.
* Contact insurance providers when additional clinical information is required.
* Follow up on pending requests and resolve authorization issues or denials.
* Maintain accurate records of submissions, approvals, denials, and follow-up actions.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with healthcare providers and insurance representatives.
* Understand U.S. healthcare insurance workflows, medical terminology, and HIPAA-compliant processes.

Experience with Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp, and major U.S. insurance payer portals is highly preferred.

I’m looking for someone accurate, responsive, organized, and capable of handling each authorization efficiently from submission through final determination.
