Robotech Mechanics is developing a pole-climbing robot with a double-turret mechanism for light construction work. We are looking for a mechanical or robotics engineer to help with the engineering design of the double turret.
This $500 project is Phase 1: starting from our sketches and photos of the concept (a chassis ring that climbs a pole, carrying a rotating double-turret block with two robotic arms), produce a concept design and CAD model of the double-turret mechanism — linear sliding coupled to yaw rotation, sized for a 100–120 kg payload including up to 10 kg suspended at up to 2 m.
Deliverables: CAD files (STEP plus native), a short design summary of the mechanism, and a basic parts/materials list.
There is potential for ongoing work after this phase (detailed engineering drawings, fabrication support).
Skills: mechanical engineering, robotics, CAD (SolidWorks or Fusion 360), product design, electromechanical systems.
