Position: Mechanical Engineering Expert
Type:Contract
Compensation:$65–$90/hour
Location:Remote
Commitment:10 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
Review and evaluate written content and AI-generated responses in mechanical engineering for accuracy and quality.
Answer questions and provide clear, well-reasoned feedback based on professional experience.
Identify useful reference material relevant to mechanical engineering.
Share insights into mechanical engineering tools, workflows, and standards.
Collaborate with other subject-matter experts across different fields.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Degree-qualified mechanical engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the US.
2+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
Familiarity with codes and standards (e.g., ASME) and tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, AutoCAD).
Professional working English.
Based in the United States.
Commitment to about 10 hours per week.
Preferred
Experience writing technical documentation, specs, or training material.
Comfortable using everyday AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT).
