I have a new CAD platform ready for beta and now it’s time to stress-test it in real-world, mechanical-engineering scenarios. The focus is entirely on the 3D part and assembly design tools: creating, mating, moving, and running interference checks on multi-component assemblies.

What matters most is uncovering crashes, errors, slowdowns, and any workflow quirks when the software is compared against the steps normally taken in mainstream mechanical design systems (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc.). Assemblies should be built from the ground up—mates applied, motion simulated, clashes detected—so I can see how performance and reliability hold up under typical shop-floor demands.

Deliverables
• A concise test plan that outlines each assembly task you’ll run
• Screen-recorded sessions or screenshots that capture every failure, lag, or unexpected result
• A structured bug/performance log with reproduction steps, hardware specs, and severity ratings
• A brief comparison summary explaining where behaviour deviates from standard mechanical workflows and what the practical impact would be

The CAD license, sample part files, and any needed documentation will be supplied once we start. Clear communication, attention to detail, and a mechanical-engineering mindset are key; feel free to flag even the smallest anomaly so nothing slips through before release.
