Project Description
I’m looking for an experienced web developer or team to build a full-featured matrimony/matchmaking website similar in functionality and layout style to any popular matrimony websites in India . This is not a request to copy their brand, name, or trademarked content — the goal is a comparable feature set with our own branding, design, and identity.
The platform needs a robust backend database to manage user profiles, matches, messaging, and admin controls, plus a clean, mobile-responsive frontend.
Core Features Required
User-Facing Features
• User registration & login (email/phone OTP verification/social media)
• Detailed profile creation (personal info, education, career, family details, religion/community, horoscope/kundli details, photos)
• Profile privacy controls (who can view contact info/photos)
• Advanced search & filters (age, location, community, caste, profession, income, etc.)
• Match recommendations/algorithm based on preferences
• Interest sending/accepting (“Express Interest,” “Shortlist,” “Ignore”)
• In-app messaging/chat system
• Photo upload with privacy protection (blur/restricted view)
• Profile verification badges (phone/ID verified)
• Notifications (email/SMS/push) for new matches, interests, messages
• Subscription/membership plans with payment gateway integration
• Success stories section
• Mobile responsive design (and optionally a future mobile app–ready API)
Admin Panel Features
• User management (approve/block/delete profiles)
• Content moderation (photo/profile approval)
• Subscription & payment management
• Reports & analytics dashboard
• CMS for managing static pages, success stories, blog/articles

Technical Requirements
• Secure backend database (MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB — open to developer’s recommendation)
• Scalable architecture to support growing user base
• Secure authentication (password hashing, OTP, optional 2FA)
• Payment gateway integration (e.g., Razorpay/Stripe/PayPal — specify based on target market)
• SSL & data privacy compliance
• SEO-friendly structure
• Clean, documented, maintainable code

Tech Stack Preference
Open to developer’s recommendation, but preference for:
• Frontend: React/Next.js or similar modern framework
• Backend: Node.js/Laravel/Django (developer’s choice, please justify)
