I need a skilled manual vector artist to reconstruct a memorial tattoo using my late mother's actual handwriting.
The finished artwork should read:
Gemma Joyce
2-21-26
I have attached four source documents and marked the exact handwriting samples I want considered/used.
1. e-m-m-a.pdf — Use the letters I have marked to construct the lowercase “emma.” The selected “m” should be used twice.
2. G.pdf — Use the handwritten G that I have marked to complete “Gemma. There is also a backup Joyce here if needed.”
3. Joyce Scans.pdf — I have marked three preferred examples of my mother writing/signing the complete word “Joyce.” Please determine which of these three can be most faithfully manually traced. I have an additional higher-quality “Joyce” available as a backup if none of these are sufficiently clear. Please use ONE complete Joyce rather than combining letters from different signatures.
4. Numbers and Dashes.pdf — Use the handwritten numbers/dashes I have marked to construct “2-21-26.” The arrows, labels and other markings on these documents are my annotations and should not be included in the artwork.
Most importantly, I do NOT want the handwriting redesigned, beautified, replaced with a font, AI-generated, or made into generic cursive. I want the selected handwriting manually traced/vectorized and preserved as faithfully as possible, including its imperfections, unusual shapes, proportions and inconsistencies.
For “Gemma,” please create only the minimal spacing/connections necessary to make the selected letters read naturally as one word. Do not substantially alter the selected letterforms.
This artwork will eventually be tattooed, but I am hiring you for faithful handwriting reconstruction and vectorization, not for a creative tattoo redesign.
Please provide the finished artwork as an editable vector file (SVG/AI/EPS), PDF, and high-resolution transparent PNG.
When bidding, please confirm that you can manually trace/reconstruct the supplied handwriting rather than using a font or AI. Examples of handwriting/signature vectorization are preferred.
