We run smartgringo.com, plain English guides to insuring a vehicle for Mexico, written from Baja California. We have just published three new guides aimed at specific traveller types, and we want them in front of the bloggers and communities those travellers already read.

WHAT WE NEED

Someone to research contacts, write genuinely personalised outreach, and place links or guest posts on relevant travel, overlanding, RV and motorcycle sites. Not directory submissions, not link exchanges, not private blog networks. We have been burned by exactly that before and we will check.

We are not asking anyone to promise a do-follow link or a fixed number of placements. A real blogger decides their own links. We are paying for research and pitching done well.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE PITCHING

Three guides, each answering something the target audience actually asks and that the big insurance sites answer badly.

Camper van conversions
/blog/mexican-insurance-for-a-camper-van-conversion
The hook: a self converted van is worth far more than the empty cargo van it started as, and in a claim the insurer values it from a book guide. The piece is a documentation checklist: what to photograph, which receipts matter, and the special approval route for vans over 25 years old.
Pitch to: vanlife and conversion audiences who fear exactly this.
Motorcycles
/blog/mexican-motorcycle-insurance-what-riders-miss
The hook: Mexican motorcycle policies exclude medical payments for the rider and passengers, where car policies include them. Most riders do not know this. Also covers the rule that a bike on a trailer is not covered by the truck towing it.
Pitch to: adventure riding and Baja moto audiences.
RVs and motorhomes
/blog/mexican-insurance-for-an-rv-or-motorhome
The hook: what you tow. A toad car gets liability only automatically. Anything self propelled, motorcycle, ATV, boat, needs its own policy. Plus real published price bands for a Class C.
Pitch to: RV forums, snowbird and full timer audiences.

A FIRST ENGAGEMENT, AND WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE

We would rather start small and see the quality than buy volume. A reasonable first piece of work:

Research and verify contacts for 25 to 30 of the sites above. A named person and a working route to them, not a generic contact form.
Send genuinely personalised pitches referencing something the site actually published.
Report every send and every reply, including the refusals.
A realistic result from a first round is a handful of placements. Anyone promising a guaranteed number of links is selling something we do not want.

WHAT WILL END THE ENGAGEMENT IMMEDIATELY

Paid link placements, sponsorship tags, link exchange schemes, PBNs, spun guest posts, automated outreach tools, or any link on a site that exists only to host links. Our backlink profile already carries the residue of that from a previous contractor and we are cleaning it up, not adding to it.

WHAT YOU GET FROM US

Brand guidelines, the real statistics behind each guide, and talking points to make pitching easier.

TO APPLY

Tell us one site from the list above, who you would contact there, and what you would say. That is the whole test. Proposals that do not answer it will not be read.
