For management consultants and strategy professionals ready to become hands-on operators.
About Intellect
Intellect is a leading mental health benefits company, trusted by forward-thinking employers, insurers and governments to deliver care that is local, personalised and effective at scale. Today, we serve more than 4 million people across over 100 countries through our technology platform and global network of clinical providers.
Our platform supports workforces at companies including Dell, ByteDance, Visa, Shell, McDonald’s and hundreds more, enabling organisations to provide accessible, culturally relevant and high-quality mental healthcare to their people.
Driven by our mission to make mental healthcare accessible to everyone, Intellect combines technology, clinical care and local expertise to deliver meaningful outcomes across diverse markets and populations.
The Opportunity
We are hiring several exceptional management consultants, strategy professionals and other strongly trained generalists to take on high-priority strategic and operating mandates across Intellect.
This opportunity is particularly suited to people who have developed rigorous problem-solving capabilities in consulting, strategy, transformation or other demanding environments and now want to become hands-on operators.
This is not a conventional internal strategy or advisory role. You will be expected to move beyond diagnosing problems and making recommendations, working through operational detail to implement solutions, build capabilities and deliver measurable results.
This search spans several priority mandates rather than a single central Strategy & Operations team. Depending on your experience, strengths and Intellect’s needs, you may initially lead a cross-functional strategic initiative or move directly into an embedded operating role within areas such as operations, commercial enablement, business performance, market development, new product and offering development, or another critical function.
During the interview process, we will explore where your capabilities and motivations are best matched to Intellect’s priorities. Before an offer is made, we will align with you on a specific initial mandate, title, reporting line, objectives and measures of success.
Strong performers will have the opportunity to take on broader functional, market or business responsibilities based on their demonstrated impact and Intellect’s evolving needs.
Potential Mandates
Your initial mandate could involve one or more of the following:

Operations: Improving service delivery, workforce planning, quality, efficiency, automation, performance management and operating processes

Commercial enablement: Strengthening sales processes, pipeline management, pricing, proposals, commercial analytics, account planning and coordination between commercial and delivery teams

Business performance: Building management systems, KPIs and operating cadences, then leading interventions that improve functional or market performance

New products and offerings: Identifying unmet customer or market needs, developing and validating new products, services or propositions, building the business and operating case, and working cross-functionally to launch and scale them

Market development: Evaluating and developing new markets, customer segments, strategic partnerships or routes to market

Strategic initiatives: Leading high-priority, cross-functional work sponsored by Intellect’s senior leadership

Embedded operating ownership: Joining a priority function or taking direct responsibility for a defined team, capability, programme or business area where there is a strong fit

These examples illustrate the range of potential mandates rather than a fixed rotation or predetermined sequence. Each successful candidate will be hired into a defined initial role based on mutual fit and business need.
Your Responsibilities
Solve High-Priority Business Problems

Take ownership of complex priorities that materially affect Intellect’s growth, performance or ability to scale

Structure ambiguous problems, identify the questions and drivers that matter, and translate analysis into clear decisions and action

Develop practical recommendations grounded in data, frontline realities, customer needs and commercial considerations

Work directly with functional, market and senior leaders to define priorities, resolve constraints and maintain momentum

Make sound decisions despite incomplete information, competing priorities and limited resources

Move from Strategy to Execution

Own initiatives end to end, from diagnosis and business-case development through implementation and measurable results

Translate decisions into practical implementation plans with clear owners, milestones, dependencies and success measures

Work alongside the teams responsible for execution rather than handing initiatives over after the analysis is complete

Use data and frontline insight to identify constraints, test interventions and improve outcomes quickly

Track results, identify where execution is falling short and intervene directly to get initiatives back on course

Build the processes, tools, operating cadences and accountability required to sustain improvements

Build Operating Capabilities

Improve how relevant parts of Intellect plan, measure and manage performance

Build management systems, dashboards, review processes and decision frameworks that improve execution and accountability

Strengthen coordination across functions, markets and levels of seniority

Help translate strategic or commercial priorities into scalable operating models and repeatable playbooks

Build the capabilities, processes and team structures required for your area to operate effectively

Take on increasingly broad operating responsibility as organisational needs and your capabilities evolve

Requirements

You typically have approximately 4-10 years of experience, ideally including time in management consulting, strategy, transformation, professional services or another demanding operating environment

You have received strong training in structured problem-solving and can bring clarity to complex or ambiguous situations

You have strong analytical and communication skills and can independently produce work that is ready for senior leadership decisions

You want to move from advising organisations to helping build and operate one

You are energised by implementation and ownership, not only recommendations or presentations

You are commercially minded and understand how operational, customer and financial considerations connect

You can work effectively with incomplete information, competing priorities and limited resources without waiting for perfect certainty

You are highly analytical and comfortable working with data, but do not allow analysis to become a substitute for action

You can influence senior stakeholders while building trust and credibility with the teams responsible for day-to-day execution

You combine high standards with low ego and are willing to move between strategic questions and detailed operational work

You take ownership naturally, follow through reliably and maintain high standards without requiring extensive direction

You are comfortable working across functions, cultures, markets and levels of seniority in a fast-moving organisation

Experience in healthcare, technology, insurance, enterprise services or multi-market businesses is helpful but not required

Above all, you are motivated by the opportunity to become a substantive operator and build something meaningful, while helping Intellect expand access to high-quality mental healthcare.

Move beyond advising businesses and build genuine experience owning and operating one
