Magic-Fantasy Minecraft Modpack Build

I’m putting together a custom Minecraft modpack that revolves around a strong magic-and-fantasy atmosphere. The pack should introduce fresh gameplay mechanics, brand-new items and blocks, and unique mobs that fit the theme. I’m after moderate complexity: deeper than simple tweaks but still lightweight enough to run smoothly on a typical Forge or Fabric client without heavy server strain.
Here’s what I have in mind: spell-casting systems or mana-based progression, fantasy-themed biomes with custom structures, and lore-friendly creatures that drop ingredients for crafting the new gear. Balance matters to me—everything should feel integrated with vanilla survival so that exploration and progression remain rewarding rather than overwhelming.
Deliverables
• Fully assembled modpack (ZIP or CurseForge profile) ready for 1-click install
• All custom items, blocks, and mobs configured and tested for stability
• Clear installation & dependency notes, plus a brief changelog so I can track future updates
Acceptance criteria
• Launches on the stated Minecraft version without crashes or major conflicts
• Core fantasy mechanics work as intended (spells, mobs, progression)
• Average FPS drop is minimal compared with a standard Forge/Fabric install
If you have experience mixing magic-oriented mods, creating custom datapacks, or tweaking configs for balanced gameplay, I’d love to see how you’d approach this project and any past examples you can share.
