Luxury Fragrance Packaging CAD Design

We are developing a new luxury fragrance collection and are looking for an experienced 3D CAD/product and packaging designer to take our existing concepts through to physical prototyping and ultimately factory-ready production files.

We already have the overall creative direction, mood boards, sketches, visual references and dimensional guidelines. We are not looking for someone to create the brand identity from scratch. We need someone who can refine our existing designs, perfect the proportions and details, and translate the concepts into technically accurate designs suitable for sampling and manufacturing.

The project covers the complete luxury fragrance presentation:

• 100ml glass perfume bottle
• Custom decorative cap, collar and pump integration
• Individual perfume presentation box
• Luxury gift box
• E-commerce/mailing box
• Luxury shopping/gift bag

Bottle & Components

The perfume bottle is a custom design and will require careful refinement of its shape, proportions and construction while maintaining the intended luxury aesthetic.

The designer should understand the technical considerations involved in fragrance bottle manufacturing, including internal volume, glass thickness, neck and pump compatibility, cap and collar construction, tolerances, moulding requirements and decorative details such as embossing/debossing.

The bottle, cap, collar and pump should work together as one properly engineered product.

Perfume Presentation Box

We already have the visual direction for the individual perfume packaging.

The designer will need to translate this into a practical luxury packaging structure, including the correct dimensions, internal bottle support, opening experience, materials, embossing/debossing, foiling and other premium finishes.

Final production-ready dielines will be required.

Luxury Gift Box

We require development of a premium gift box that complements the perfume packaging and provides a strong luxury unboxing experience.

This will include the structural design, proportions, opening mechanism, internal presentation/insert system, materials, finishes and production-ready dielines.

Mailing / E-commerce Box

The mailing box should continue the luxury experience while providing sufficient protection for delivery.

The designer should develop the structure, dimensions and internal arrangement required to hold and protect the fragrance packaging securely during shipping while maintaining the premium presentation of the brand.

Luxury Shopping / Gift Bag

The shopping bag should also form part of the same cohesive packaging family.

This will require appropriate dimensions, materials, reinforcement, handles or ribbon, branding placement and luxury finishing details, together with production-ready specifications and artwork/dielines.

Phase 1: Design Development & Prototyping

The first stage will involve refining the existing designs and producing the 3D models, renders, technical drawings and files necessary for physical samples/prototypes to be produced.

We want to review the complete presentation physically before final manufacturing, so accuracy of dimensions, proportions and construction is important.

High-quality realistic renders should also be provided during development so that materials, finishes, colours and overall presentation can be reviewed before prototypes are commissioned.

Phase 2: Factory-Ready Development

Following review of the physical samples, any necessary adjustments will be made before preparation of the final production files.

Final deliverables should include, where applicable:

• STEP/STP and/or IGES CAD files
• STL files for prototyping where required
• Editable/source CAD files
• 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerances
• Material specifications
• Surface and finishing specifications
• Component/assembly information
• Production-ready packaging dielines
• Press-ready PDF files
• Any other technical files reasonably required by the relevant manufacturers

All final source and production files created for the project must be provided upon completion.

Who We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in designers with genuine experience in:

• Perfume/fragrance bottle design
• Cosmetic or luxury glass packaging
• Premium rigid packaging
• Luxury beauty packaging
• High-end retail and e-commerce packaging
• Taking products from concept and CAD through physical prototyping and into manufacturing

This is not simply a CGI or 3D rendering project. We need someone who understands the relationship between beautiful luxury design and the technical realities of manufacturing.

When applying, please provide examples of relevant previous work, particularly fragrance, cosmetic, glass or luxury packaging projects that have actually progressed into physical production.

Please also confirm:

• Which CAD/design software you use
• Your experience with glass bottle and luxury packaging manufacturing
• Whether you can produce both prototype and factory-ready files
• Your estimated timeframe for the initial design development
• The number of revisions included
• Your proposed fee for the complete scope

We are looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, understands luxury aesthetics and can work collaboratively with us through design refinement, sampling, revisions and final production.

The objective is to create a complete fragrance presentation that feels considered and luxurious at every stage, from the bottle in the hand to the box, gift presentation and final delivery experience.
