CNC / CAD Designer Needed for Luxury MDF Feature Wall – Fabrication-Ready DWG & DXF
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced CNC/CAD designer or joinery shop-drawing specialist to convert our existing reception feature-wall concept into complete fabrication-ready drawings for CNC production.
The visual design is already selected. We need someone who can professionally engineer the design so that a CNC/joinery workshop can manufacture and install it without having to redesign it.
Wall Dimensions
• Width: 6000 mm
• Height: 3000 mm
• Overall build-out/depth: approximately 100 mm
• Proposed decorative face material: high-density MR MDF
• Approximate MDF thickness: 18–25 mm, subject to designer/fabricator recommendation
The feature wall contains multiple large decorative arch/fan-shaped panels with many detailed radiating CNC grooves. Accuracy and clean geometry are very important.
Required Work
The designer should:
• Recreate the decorative pattern accurately from our reference images.
• Develop the design into practical CNC-manufacturable panels.
• Determine suitable panel divisions for fabrication, transportation and installation.
• Detail all CNC routing paths.
• Specify groove widths and depths.
• Detail joints between panels.
• Detail the approximately 100 mm wall build-up/support structure.
• Provide locations/details for concealed LED lighting.
• Provide details for decorative metal/brass trims where required.
• Provide fixing and installation details.
• Ensure that panel joints are positioned intelligently and do not negatively affect the decorative pattern.

1. DWG editable fabrication drawings
2. DXF CNC-ready files at 1:1 scale
3. Dimensioned PDF shop drawings
4. Front elevation
5. Plan and relevant sections
6. Individual panel drawings
7. CNC groove/routing details
8. Panel numbering/layout
9. LED recess/channel details
10. Metal trim details
11. Fixing/installation details
12. Exploded 3D assembly view
13. STEP/STP file if required for any 3D CNC relief
14. Material/thickness specifications
The final CNC files should be clean, properly layered and ready for production without the fabrication company having to redraw the design.
