I’m ready to bring a dependable WordPress specialist into our team for the long haul. Day-to-day work ranges from refining how our sites look to extending what they can do, and I need someone comfortable owning the entire cycle—planning, coding, testing, and maintaining.
Here’s what you’ll tackle most often:
• Theme customization: design tweaks, layout revisions, and rolling out brand-new features while keeping performance tight.
• Plugin development: building fresh plugins from scratch, adapting existing codebases to new requirements, and wiring everything up to third-party services or APIs.
• Ongoing website maintenance: security updates, version upgrades, and general troubleshooting to keep uptime at 100 %.
You should feel at home with PHP, modern WordPress standards, Gutenberg blocks, HTML / CSS, JavaScript (jQuery or React), REST API calls, and Git-based workflows. Familiarity with WooCommerce and popular page builders is a bonus—we use them frequently.
Success for each task is simple: clean, well-commented code committed to our repo; no console or PHP errors; pages loading fast and looking right on desktop and mobile; and clear notes on what changed and why.
If you thrive on iterative improvement, communicate proactively, and enjoy pushing WordPress beyond “out of the box,” let’s start building together.
