Long-Term Mechanical Product Prototyping

I’m looking to build an ongoing collaboration with a mechanical engineer who is passionate about product design and prototyping. My workload includes a steady stream of new concepts that need to move quickly from rough sketches to functional, test-ready models. On each project I’ll supply the idea, target user requirements, and any constraints on materials or manufacturing processes. From you, I’ll rely on thoughtful mechanical layouts, 3D CAD models, and guidance that helps me iterate toward a prototype we can confidently hand to fabricators.

SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or comparable tools are all welcome as long as the output is precise and organized. Experience juggling tolerance stacks, selecting off-the-shelf components, and designing parts for common manufacturing methods (CNC, injection molding, 3-D printing) will be invaluable. Clear communication is essential because we’ll be bouncing feedback back and forth, refining details, and occasionally troubleshooting unexpected issues.
