Long-Term Collaboration with Skilled iOS Developers

We are looking to hire two dependable iOS Developers who value code quality, proper testing, and long-term collaboration.

This is an ongoing maintenance and enhancement role for an existing application currently in the pre-production stage.

We are not building a new application from scratch. We are looking for developers who can help maintain, improve, and evolve an existing product over time.

• Existing iOS application
• Existing PHP backend
• MySQL database
• Development, Staging, and Production environments
• CI/CD pipeline with automatic deployment
• Git-based development workflow

• iOS Development (Primary)
• PHP Backend (Yii2) — Basic familiarity is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES
----------------------------------------

• Handle weekly development and maintenance tasks.
• Implement new features and business requirements.
• Investigate and fix bugs.
• Investigate API and backend integration issues when needed.
• Occasionally make small backend (PHP) changes if required.
• Maintain overall system stability and code quality.

WORK SCHEDULE
----------------------------------------

• Part-time, task-based collaboration.
• Work is assigned in batches rather than fixed weekly hours.
• Each batch of tasks will have an agreed delivery timeline based on its size and complexity.
• Developers are expected to be available during five working days per week for communication, discussions, and task follow-up.
• In rare cases, urgent production issues may require reasonable availability outside the normal schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience with iOS development.
• Comfortable working with existing codebases.
• Experience with Git branches and pull requests.
• Able to investigate issues independently.
• Good English communication skills for technical discussions.
• Basic PHP/Yii2 knowledge is a plus.

WHAT WE EXPECT

• Investigate the root cause before implementing a fix whenever possible.
• Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
• Every submitted task must be fully tested before delivery.
• Testing should cover both the implemented feature and any related user flows to ensure existing functionality is not affected.
• Large or risky changes should be discussed before implementation.
• Communicate blockers early instead of waiting until the deadline.
• Respect agreed timelines and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Quality is more important than simply closing tasks quickly.

*** We expect consistent progress throughout each assignment. As a general expectation, at least one completed task should be delivered every 48 hours unless otherwise agreed based on the complexity of the assigned work. ***

PAYMENT & PERFORMANCE
----------------------------------------

• Payment is based on the agreed scope of each assigned batch of tasks.
• Each task batch will have an agreed delivery deadline before work begins.
Payment typically ranges from $50 USD to $300 USD per task batch, depending on the scope and complexity of the assigned work.
• Payment will be processed after the assigned batch has been successfully validated and accepted.
• If assigned tasks are not completed within the agreed timeline, payment may be adjusted based on the amount of unfinished work.
