# Experienced Fantasy / Fanfiction Ghostwriter Needed for Long-Term Writing Projects

I'm seeking an experienced, creative fiction writer to assist with continuing and developing several ongoing fanfiction projects, particularly stories involving political intrigue, medieval warfare, historical reincarnation, kingdom-building, and military strategy.

My immediate project is an *A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones* alternative-history fanfiction featuring King Baldwin IV of Jerusalem reincarnated as a young Stannis Baratheon.

The story explores how an experienced medieval king adapts to Westeros, navigates its political and religious institutions, develops his influence, and gradually pursues greater authority.

The project already has several completed chapters, established characters, a defined premise, and an intended long-term direction. I need someone who can study the existing manuscript, understand the characters, and continue the narrative naturally.

**What I'm looking for:**

- Strong experience writing fantasy, historical fiction, or political and military fiction.
- Familiarity with *A Song of Ice and Fire*, especially its characters, history, politics, and worldbuilding.
- Ability to write mature, detailed, immersive prose with substantial paragraphs and natural dialogue.
- Experience writing multiple perspectives using third-person limited narration.
- Ability to write believable political intrigue, warfare, administration, diplomacy, and kingdom-building.
- Strong attention to continuity, character development, and established lore.
- Creative independence: I do not want to outline every event. Characters should make meaningful decisions, with realistic consequences that drive the plot.
- Ability to research unfamiliar historical and fictional subjects where necessary.

**Writing expectations:**

Chapters will generally range from 2,000 to 4,000 words, depending on the project and assignment.

I strongly prefer natural, human-written prose rather than AI-generated chapters or lightly edited AI output.

Dialogue should be convincing, with each character possessing a distinct voice and personality. Supporting characters must have their own motivations, knowledge, and ambitions rather than existing solely to agree with the protagonist.

I value grounded character development, political realism, credible military operations, and gradual progression. I am not interested in repetitive storytelling formulas, excessive exposition, or protagonists who succeed effortlessly.

**How we will work:**

I will provide existing chapters, background information, writing guidelines, and the general direction of the story.

The selected freelancer will review the material, continue writing chapters, and collaborate with me on revisions and future developments.

I would prefer to begin with one paid trial chapter before considering a longer-term arrangement.

Successful collaboration could lead to regular chapter assignments and opportunities to work on additional fantasy and science-fiction projects.

**When applying, please include:**

1. A sample of your fiction writing, preferably fantasy, historical fiction, or political fiction.
2. Your familiarity with *A Song of Ice and Fire* or similar fictional universes.
3. Your proposed rate per 1,000 words or per completed chapter.
4. Your typical availability and chapter turnaround.
5. Whether you personally write your manuscripts without generative AI.

I'm looking for a dependable writer who genuinely enjoys complex worldbuilding, character-driven storytelling, and long-form fiction, with the potential for an ongoing professional relationship.
