Local Residential Permit Drawing Expert-Engineer, Architects and Draftsperson

My current pipeline includes several single-family remodels, additions and a ground-up home that all require complete permit documentation for Contra Costa and Alameda County. I handle the design direction in-house; what I need is a locally based professional who can translate that direction into coordinated, permit-ready AutoCAD drawings and supporting calculations.

Entry Level may apply if proficient in ACAD or similar, and proficient knowledge of residential framing. Civil Engineering/Architectural degree required. Position is on an as-needed basis.

Proficient Draftsperson may also apply. Position is on an as-needed basis.

Scope of work
• Produce both structural and architectural sheets for each project, following the latest county submittal standards.
• Run structural calculations covering load-bearing walls, foundation stability, roof framing and seismic design, then integrate those results directly into the sheets.
• Visit the sites for an initial assessment and at key mid-construction milestones to verify existing conditions and resolve field questions—being local to either Contra Costa or Alameda County is therefore essential.
• Liaise with my Title-24/energy consultant so that the energy calcs line up cleanly with your drawing set.

Deliverables
1. Complete AutoCAD (.dwg) files and plotted PDFs ready for county permit intake.
2. A sealed structural calculation package for each address.
3. Brief field reports after each site visit that document conditions, measurements and any design tweaks required.

I’ll supply base survey files, design sketches and consultant contact info as soon as we kick off. Turnaround and exact sheet count will vary by project, but clear communication and quick revisions are key to keeping submittals on schedule.
