I need a very small web app—just a landing page with a username and password field. After a valid sign-in, the visitor should see a private page that contains a single live-typing box. Whatever they type must appear in real time for both of us on that same page, almost like a lightweight shared notepad.
Core flow
• Landing page: clean layout, centred login form (username + password). No other navigation.
• Authentication can be hard-coded for now; one working login is enough.
• Post-login page: one text area that streams keystrokes instantly using WebSockets, Socket.io, or a similar real-time method so I view every character the moment it is pressed. No lag tolerable beyond normal network latency.
Design can stay minimal—plain HTML/CSS is fine—yet the code should be easy to re-skin later. Host it locally during development; I’ll deploy to my own server once I receive the full source.
Deliverables
1. Complete front-end and back-end files (HTML, CSS, JS, server script) packaged and ready to run.
2. Brief README explaining how to start the server and where to adjust login credentials.
3. Quick demo video or GIF proving the real-time typing works when two browser windows are open.
I’ll review by logging in simultaneously from two tabs and confirming the keystrokes appear live.
