Shopify Custom Liquid Theme Development & Multi-Market Store Setup

We are a UK-registered supplement brand building our second Shopify store. Our first store is already completed and will be provided as the main reference for the structure, quality, design direction, and overall customer experience we expect. The new store will sell liquid supplement drops to customers in the UK, EU/EEA, and selected international markets, with prices displayed in EUR. We already have the brand name, logo, product artwork, product photography, product content, ingredients, design/reference site, and domain. We need an experienced Shopify developer to turn these supplied assets into a polished, responsive, high-performance storefront.

The store must be built using a **custom hand-coded Shopify Liquid theme** rather than a drag-and-drop page builder or heavily modified purchased theme. The final code should be clean, maintainable, responsive, and optimized for Shopify.

Build the homepage based closely on our supplied design/reference site. The page should combine all required homepage content into one cohesive experience, including the announcement bar, responsive header and navigation, search, cart drawer, mobile menu, video hero section using our supplied video, benefits/value proposition strip, product grid, customer reviews, trust section, and footer with three menu columns. The layout should be fully responsive and tested on desktop and approximately 390px mobile width.

Set up approximately 7 products with their supplied images, descriptions, variants, and structured product information. Each product page should combine the relevant product content into a consistent layout, including product information, images, pricing, variants, purchase options, subscription options, descriptions, benefits, ingredients, how it works, how to use, warnings, and other supplied content. Configure Shopify metafields for repeated product content such as short descriptions, taglines, how it works, how to use, active ingredients, benefits, and warnings so these sections can be managed easily from Shopify Admin. Create one product collection containing all products.

Create and configure the About, Ingredients, Our Science, How to Use, FAQ, and Contact pages. Each page should combine its supplied content into a complete, professionally structured page rather than requiring separate page-builder sections or external editing tools. The layouts should follow the same visual language as the main storefront and work correctly across desktop and mobile.

Build an interactive **Find Your Formula** quiz that combines the required questions, answer logic, and product recommendations into one customer-friendly experience. Customers should be able to answer the questions, receive a relevant product recommendation based on their answers, and proceed directly to the recommended product. The quiz must be responsive, visually consistent with the store, and function correctly on both desktop and mobile.

Set up Shopify selling plans for the required subscription functionality. Products should offer a **"Subscribe and Save 15%"** option with monthly delivery. The subscription price must correctly reflect the 15% discount and the discount must remain correct through checkout. The subscription option should be clearly presented on the relevant product pages and fully tested before launch.

Configure Shopify Markets for the UK, Europe including EU/EEA, and selected international markets. Configure the store to use EUR pricing and set the required market settings. Configure shipping zones, shipping rates, and free-shipping thresholds for each required market. The final configuration should allow customers in the supported markets to see the correct products, pricing, shipping options, and checkout behavior.

Configure the required Shopify store settings, including the EUR currency, UK business address, UK time zone, metric units, and other necessary storefront settings. Ensure the configuration is appropriate for the markets and products being sold.

Install and configure the legal content supplied by us, including the Privacy Policy, Terms, Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and required subscription cancellation policy. The supplied legal wording should be used as provided without unnecessary rewriting.

Connect the supplied domain through GoDaddy and configure the required DNS records. This may include A records, CNAME, MX, and SPF records where applicable. The domain must be correctly connected and verified before the store is considered launch-ready.

The store must be created as a **Shopify Client Transfer store within your Shopify Partner organisation**. A standard Shopify Development store is not acceptable for this project. After the development and testing are complete, the store must be transferred to our Shopify account using the appropriate Shopify client-transfer process.

Before completion, perform complete testing across the storefront, including navigation, homepage sections, product pages, collections, metafields, quiz functionality, subscription selling plans, cart drawer, search, forms, responsive layouts, shipping configuration, and checkout. Perform end-to-end checkout testing using representative UK, EU, and international delivery addresses. Remove the storefront password when the store is ready for launch and resolve any functional or theme issues found during testing.

The theme should use clean Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript without unnecessary dependencies. Avoid unnecessary apps, page builders, bloated scripts, or inefficient code. Optimize images and frontend assets where appropriate and ensure the storefront provides good mobile performance. The completed theme should pass Shopify's theme checks without errors and should not contain obvious console errors or major responsive issues.

You must have practical experience with Shopify Liquid theme development, HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, Shopify Admin API, REST and GraphQL APIs, Shopify selling plans and subscriptions, Shopify Markets, shipping profiles, multi-currency configuration, Shopify Partner accounts, Client Transfer stores, domain and DNS configuration including A records, CNAME, MX and SPF, responsive design, mobile testing around 390px width, and basic Shopify performance optimization.

Experience with supplement or health e-commerce, EU consumer requirements such as 14-day withdrawal rules and import VAT considerations, WCAG AA accessibility, keyboard navigation, and Shopify page-speed optimization would be beneficial.

Graphic design, product photography, and copywriting are not required because all necessary assets and content will be supplied.

The project will be considered complete when the custom Shopify Liquid theme accurately follows the supplied design/reference; all pages and sections are fully responsive; approximately 7 products, their collection, metafields, and content are correctly configured; the Find Your Formula quiz works correctly; Subscribe and Save 15% correctly applies the monthly subscription discount through checkout; UK, EU/EEA, and international markets are configured; shipping zones, rates, and free-shipping thresholds are working; supplied legal content is installed; the domain is connected; the storefront password is removed; UK, EU, and international checkout flows have been tested; Shopify theme checks pass without errors; and the completed store has been transferred to our Shopify account as a Client Transfer store.

A short written handover must also be provided explaining the main configuration and how we can make common updates ourselves.

We will provide the brand name, logo, product artwork, product photography, product descriptions and content, ingredient information, design/reference website, domain, legal/policy text, product information, subscription requirements, shipping requirements, and quiz/recommendation requirements.

When applying, please provide a brief summary of your Shopify Liquid experience, examples of custom Shopify stores or themes you have developed, your experience with Shopify Markets and subscriptions, your experience creating Client Transfer stores through a Shopify Partner account, confirmation that you can build the store using a hand-coded Liquid theme rather than a page builder, your estimated timeline, and your fixed project price.
