I need my existing custom Node.js/Express application moved from its current Linux VPS to a new Linux server. The codebase is already in Git; what I need is a clean end-to-end migration that leaves the new machine running identically to the old one, including:
• Cloning or transferring the repo and any private modules
• Installing the correct Node version and global dependencies (npm / yarn)
• Re-creating environment variables, service files, reverse-proxy rules (Nginx or similar), and SSL certificates if present
• Verifying that all endpoints, scheduled jobs, and logs function as before
Please document every step you take so I can reproduce the setup in future or roll back if needed. Once the application responds on the new server with no errors and passes a quick smoke test, the job is done.
