I want a one-of-a-kind, life-size Phenacodus that looks and feels alive in my hands. The project has two equally important parts: first, a watertight, high-resolution 3D model suitable for immediate SLA/FDM printing; second, the finished silicone figure shipped to me, fully bendable from nose to tail without visible joints.
Look & accuracy
I have a very specific vision that blends scientific accuracy with personal aesthetic choices. Once we start, I’ll share sketches and notes so you can sculpt the exact proportions, pose range, and skin texture I’m picturing. The animal is hairless, so subtle wrinkling and muscle definition need to read well in both the digital sculpt and the final cast.
Flexibility & construction
• Full-body articulation: an internal wire or poseable spine/limb armature that allows smooth, repeated bends while holding poses.
• Silicone skin: soft-touch platinum silicone (Shore 00-20-30 range) poured or roto-cast in a single seamless piece. No rigid inserts should telegraph through the surface.
• Paint finish: intrinsic tinting preferred so color is inside the silicone, with minimal external sealing.
Deliverables
1. Printable 3D files (STL/OBJ) + a low-poly preview.
2. A short print/casting workflow document noting material volumes and any mold parting strategy.
3. The completed, life-size silicone Phenacodus shipped safely to my address.
Acceptance criteria
• Model matches my reference feedback to within ±2 mm on key measurements.
• Finished toy can flex 90° at neck and tail, 45° at each limb joint, and return to neutral without tearing.
• Surface is smooth, free of air bubbles, and color-matched to agreed palette.
Experience with ZBrush/Blender for organic sculpting, knowledge of mold-making, and hands-on silicone casting will be key. Let me know your proposed timeline from sculpt to shipping and any questions you have about the pose range or material specs.
