I’m looking to partner with a licensed on-site agent who can represent my freight forwarding company at the ports of Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama. Day-to-day, you would act as my local arm for both customs clearance and onward transportation, ensuring every shipment passes smoothly through Japanese authorities and reaches its next leg on schedule.

The cargo mix you’ll handle is broad—perishable items, electronic goods, general merchandise, plus the occasional car, machinery or other specialised loads—so experience across multiple commodity codes and temperature-controlled processes is essential. If you already liaise regularly with the quarantine office and can book domestic trucking or rail at short notice, that’s exactly the skill set I need.

Acceptance criteria for this engagement:
• Proof of your current Japanese port agent licence and any relevant customs accreditations
• Clear outline of your service workflow for both FCL and LCL cargo
• Contactable client references (international preferred)
• Indicative turnaround times for import clearance at each listed port

Once I review your credentials we can agree on volumes, service fees and start date. Drop me a message with the requested documents and let’s move this forward quickly.
