Your Role
As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist - Intake Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and guiding patients through the initial stages of their patient journey. You will facilitate a diagnostic interview and incorporate relevant data collected during the evaluation to formulate an initial diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Next, you will pair patients with a Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist who are best qualified to meet the patients' needs. You will use your clinical proficiency, along with the aptihealth platform, to assist our patients in achieving their best possible outcomes.

Requirements

Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York State with a PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology

3+ years’ experience in diagnostic assessment and formulation

3+ years’ experience in providing individual therapy

Experience working with a broad behavioral health population, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and other behavioral health conditions, and determining appropriate treatment recommendations and level of care

Experience working with children and adolescents, including patients as young as age 5

Experience assessing for crisis situations and suicide or self-harm risk as part of diagnostic or intake assessments

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a virtual clinical team, including coordinating treatment and supporting transitions of care

Experience using electronic health records, telehealth platforms, and electronic clinical documentation workflows in a remote clinical environment, including completing diagnostic assessments, treatment recommendations, and risk documentation electronically

Professional proficiency in English

Some early evening/weekend hours required

Reliable high-speed internet and access to a private, professional workspace that supports confidential patient conversations and HIPAA-compliant telehealth services

Experience working within an interdisciplinary or collaborative care model is a plus

Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus
