Audio Dataset Licensing for AI Training

Project Overview-

We are seeking vendors, data providers, and organizations interested in licensing high-quality audio datasets for AI training, speech recognition, and evaluation. We are particularly interested in French-language audio, while also welcoming datasets in other languages with diverse accents, speakers, and conversational styles.

We are looking for authentic, diverse, and legally licensable existing audio recordings with clear documentation regarding data ownership, consent, and permitted usage.

Dataset Requirements-

1. Languages and Regional Diversity
- French-language recordings are strongly preferred.
- French variants from France, Canada, and African countries are of particular interest.
- Datasets covering other regional languages are also welcome.
- Diverse regional accents, dialects, speaker demographics, and speaking styles.
- Details on the number of available hours for each language and country/region.

2. Audio Content and Conversational Styles
We are interested in a variety of natural and conversational speech recordings, including:
- Dialogue and spontaneous conversations.
- Customer service and support calls.
- Interviews and meetings.
- Telephone conversations and recorded calls.
- Podcasts and discussions.
- Other natural speech recordings suitable for AI training and evaluation.

3. Technical Specifications
Please provide the following details wherever available:
- Total duration of recordings, in hours.
- Audio sample rate, including 8 kHz, 16 kHz, 44.1 kHz, or 48 kHz.
- Audio channels: mono, stereo, or dual-channel recordings.
- File formats, such as WAV, FLAC, or MP3.
- Average and range of recording lengths.
- Audio quality, background noise levels, and recording conditions.
- Availability of speaker-level segmentation, timestamps, and metadata.

4. Industry and Domain Coverage
We welcome datasets from domains such as:
- Banking and financial services.
- Telecommunications.
- Retail and e-commerce.
- Customer support and contact centers.
- Healthcare and other professional services.
- General conversations and public-facing media.

Please specify the domain, recording context, and approximate number of hours available for each category.

Transcription and Annotation-

Please indicate whether the recordings include:
- Verbatim transcripts.
- Time-aligned transcripts or word-level timestamps.
- Speaker labels and diarization.
- Language and accent labels.
- Other metadata or annotations.

If transcripts are available, please specify their format, language, accuracy, and annotation methodology.

Please disclose any limitations on consent, licensing, or permitted use before submitting samples.

Information Requested from Vendors-

Interested vendors are requested to share a preliminary dataset inventory covering:
1. Languages and regional variants.
2. Total available audio hours, broken down by language and country.
3. Number of speakers, where known.
4. Conversational styles and industry domains.
5. Audio formats, sample rates, and channel configurations.
6. Average recording duration.
7. Transcript and annotation availability.
8. Redaction and anonymization status.
9. Data ownership, consent documentation, and licensing terms.
10. Pricing model, minimum licensing volume, and commercial usage conditions.
11. Availability of sample recordings for quality assessment.

Next Steps-
Please share your dataset catalog, technical specifications, licensing details, and indicative pricing for evaluation. Where permitted, a small representative sample may also be provided for an initial quality review.

We are interested in establishing licensing partnerships with vendors who can provide compliant, well-documented audio datasets and potentially support ongoing or large-scale data requirements.

We look forward to reviewing your available datasets and exploring a potential collaboration.
