: I want to build a job marketplace website for labour and physical workers.
The main idea is similar to Freelancer or Upwork, but this platform will not be focused on developers or online freelancers. It will be for people who do real-world jobs such as construction, cleaning, plumbing, painting, gardening, moving, carpentry, electrical work, general labour, warehouse work, handyman jobs, and similar services.
There will be two main types of users: workers and employers/customers.
A worker should be able to create a profile where they can add their skills, experience, location, availability, expected hourly/daily rate, and photos of their previous work. They should then be able to search for jobs available in their area and apply for jobs that match their skills.
An employer or customer should be able to create an account and post a job. When posting a job, they should be able to describe what work they need, select the category, add the location, number of workers required, start date, duration, required experience, payment/rate, budget and photos if necessary.
For example, someone might post a job saying they need three construction workers for a house renovation for two weeks. Workers near that location who have construction experience should be able to find the job and apply.
Employers should be able to see all applicants, open their profiles, check their experience and ratings, communicate with them through the platform, and select the worker they want to hire.
Workers should also be able to see the employer's information and communicate with the employer before accepting the job.
I want an internal messaging system so that workers and employers can communicate without needing to exchange personal contact information immediately. They should be able to send normal messages and, if possible, share photos related to the job.
Location is an important part of this platform. Workers should mainly see jobs that are close to their location, and employers should be able to find workers who are available nearby. There should be search and filtering based on location, distance, job category, skills, experience, rate and availability.
Once an employer hires a worker, the job should move into an active/hired status. Both sides should be able to see the job details and its current status.
After the work is completed, both the worker and employer should be able to leave a rating and review for each other. The rating should appear on their profile so that future users can understand their reputation on the platform.
I also need notifications for things such as new applications, application status changes, new messages, job matches and hiring updates.
There should be an admin panel where I can manage workers, employers, jobs, applications, reviews and reported users. Admin should be able to suspend users, remove inappropriate jobs and manage the job categories.
The website needs to be responsive and work properly on desktop, tablet and especially mobile because many workers will probably use their phones to search and apply for jobs.
For the first version, I want to keep the platform relatively simple. I do not want to build every advanced feature immediately. The main goal is to launch an MVP where employers can post jobs, workers can find and apply for them, both sides can communicate, employers can hire workers, and both sides can review each other after the job.
Online payments, escrow, identity verification, contracts, GPS tracking, AI matching and mobile applications can be added later. However, I want the initial architecture to be clean and scalable so these features can be added in the future without rebuilding the whole platform.
I am looking for someone who can understand the complete idea and help me build the first working version from beginning to deployment.
In your proposal, please tell me how you would approach this project, what technology stack you recommend, how long you think the MVP would take, and your fixed price for the complete development.
Please also show me examples of similar marketplace, job board or service-based platforms you have developed.
