I have a week before an interview and want to turn my book-level Kubernetes knowledge into genuine, keyboard-level skill. My background is six years in release engineering, so I speak CI/CD fluently, but I have never had to stand up or debug a live cluster.

Primary goal
Guide me through hands-on Kubernetes troubleshooting. I want to become comfortable identifying and fixing the typical issues a production team faces:

• Pods that refuse to start or keep restarting
• Services that cannot talk to each other or expose traffic correctly
• Log, resource-limit, and configuration problems that hide behind cryptic events

How I picture the sessions
Day-by-day labs on a small cluster (minikube, kind, or your preferred cloud-hosted environment). You demonstrate the issue, I share screen, we solve it together using kubectl, kubectl-logs, describe, events, and any helpful add-ons such as Stern or K9s. We commit manifests to Git so I can replay them later. A short debrief at the end of each exercise cements the commands and thinking steps.

Nice-to-have stretch topics
If time allows, spend an hour or two introducing Terraform basics for cluster creation and a quick scripting walk-through (Bash or Python) to automate routine DevOps tasks. Depth here is optional; Kubernetes troubleshooting remains the core.

What I need from you
• A clear plan for five to seven 90-minute live sessions this week
• Sample malfunctioning manifests and Docker images ready to load
• Guidance on setting up the local or cloud lab environment before day one
• Quick recap notes or a Git repo so I can revise independently

Acceptance criteria
By the final session I should be able to:
1. Diagnose and fix a CrashLoopBackOff pod in under ten minutes.
2. Trace a failed service call through DNS, endpoints, and network policies.
3. Use logs, events, and resource metrics to uncover a mis-configured deployment.

If this matches your expertise and you can start immediately, let’s schedule the first call and get my cluster misbehaving!
python troubleshooting docker kubernetes devops bash terraform ci/cd
