Seeking an experienced Adobe InDesign formatter to prepare a 65,546 - word, financial reference manual for Amazon KDP Kindle.
FIXED BUDGET - MAX PAY: $150 USD
REQUIREMENTS
1. Professionally format the manuscript using Adobe InDesign.
2. Produce a reflowable Kindle EPUB.
3. Format chapters, subtitles, headings, lists, and callouts.
4. Create a clickable table of contents and functional Kindle navigation.
5. Test the EPUB in Kindle Previewer and correct formatting defects.
6. Preserve all manuscript wording without unauthorized changes.
The manuscript does NOT contain any special formatting elements, such as footnotes, endnotes, or tables. It is primarily text from the front matter through the back matter.
DELIVERABLES
1. KDP-ready EPUB (.epub).
2. Complete, editable InDesign project (.indd or .idml), including linked assets and font details.
3. Corrections required to pass KDP's initial review.
PAYMENT
A $150 USD milestone will be funded via Freelancer before work begins and released within 24 hours of KDP approval, following delivery and final review.
IMMEDIATE ADDITIONAL PROJECTS
1. This is the first book in a series. Upon successful completion of this Kindle project, we intend to immediately award the formatter (if their work is excellent) a separate paperback formatting project WITH ITS OWN $150 USD budget.
2. THE PAPERBACK IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS KINDLE PROJECT OR ITS $150 USD PRICE.
LONG-TERM PUBLISHING OPPORTUNITY
A second book's rough draft is already complete, with additional titles planned. All of the books in the series will have a Kindle and paperback version. We are seeking a skilled EPUB - InDesign, formatter for an ongoing publishing relationship.
