I’m assembling a small creative team to capture and share the spirit of Kibera through high-impact videography, supported by photography and narrative blog posts. The main priority is video: short documentary pieces, event highlights, and day-in-the-life reels that feel truthful, energetic, and respectful of the community.
Each story should unfold in a narrative style, celebrating community achievements above all else—whether that’s an entrepreneur turning waste into art, a youth group staging a performance, or neighbors rallying for a clean-up day. I’ll rely on you to spot those moments, film them sensitively, and edit them into tight, engaging segments that work across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
Alongside the videos, I’ll need concise photo sets and a companion blog entry for my website. The blog pieces should read like mini-stories, drawing readers into the sights and sounds they can’t get from the screen alone.
Deliverables
• 3–5 fully edited videos (2–4 min each) in 1080p, ready for multi-platform upload
• A thumbnail photo set for each video, lightly retouched
• One 600–800-word blog story per video, narrative tone, focusing on the featured achievement
• 15-second social media teasers cut from the main footage
Acceptance criteria: crisp audio, steady footage, natural color grade; blog copy free of errors and published in WordPress draft; all assets delivered via shared drive with clear filenames.
Preferred tools: mirrorless camera or DSLR, gimbal or stabilizer, external mic kit, Adobe Premiere Pro (or DaVinci Resolve), Lightroom, and WordPress.
If you’re passionate about authentic storytelling and can turn raw street energy into polished, uplifting content, let’s talk timelines and shoot dates in Kibera soon.
