Kazakh-Uzbek News Site Outreach

We are looking for an experienced PR freelancer or local media relations specialist in Kazakhstan and/or Uzbekistan to support a consumer technology and smart home brand.

The main objective is to secure earned editorial coverage and product reviews in relevant local media.

Scope of Work

• Identify relevant journalists and editors covering technology, consumer electronics, gadgets, lifestyle and smart home topics
• Develop and maintain a targeted local media list
• Localize our existing English PR pitch into Russian and/or relevant local languages where needed
• Conduct personalized media outreach and follow ups
• Pitch products for editorial reviews and features
• Coordinate product samples with interested journalists
• Secure earned editorial coverage
• Provide regular outreach updates and a final coverage report

Target Media

We are primarily interested in:

• Leading national online media
• Technology and gadget publications
• Consumer electronics media
• Lifestyle and consumer media
• Business and technology publications where relevant

Target

Our initial target is approximately 10 qualified earned media placements/product reviews per market.

Paid or sponsored placements are not included in this target unless discussed separately.

Requirements

We are specifically looking for someone who:

• Has PR or media relations experience in Kazakhstan and/or Uzbekistan
• Has existing relationships with local journalists and editors
• Understands the local media landscape
• Speaks Russian and ideally Kazakh or Uzbek
• Has experience with technology, consumer electronics or lifestyle brands
• Can provide examples of previous media coverage secured
