Karnataka Music & Dance Documentation -- 2

I’m putting together a detailed cultural record of how South Indian traditional music and dance thrive across Karnataka today. My aim is to preserve these living art forms for local residents, presented in a tone and style that feels authentic rather than tourist-oriented.

Here’s what I need from you:
• Capture on-site performances and rehearsals—high-quality video (HD or better) plus clean audio of at least three distinct music or dance styles.
• A bank of 30+ well-composed photographs, each captioned with artist name, venue, style and date.
• A concise, 2,000-word narrative article that traces the origins, evolution and present-day context of each form, supported by interviews with practicing artists or scholars.
• One metadata sheet (CSV/Excel) tagging every visual and audio asset for easy archiving.

Your proposal should outline the towns or villages you plan to cover, the gear you’ll bring (DSLR, audio recorder, stabilizer, etc.), and a realistic timeline. Familiarity with Carnatic music, Yakshagana, Dollu Kunitha or similar local traditions will stand out, as will Kannada-language skills for on-site interviews and captions.

By the end of the project I want a cohesive package—video, images, and written narrative—that local audiences can watch, read and share with pride.
