I’m gathering speech data to help train regional-language AI, and I need native Kansai-ben speakers—people born and raised in Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Nara, Shiga, Wakayama, or nearby—to record a short script for me.
The task is straightforward: read 200 supplied sentences in your everyday Kansai dialect. Each line lasts around 5–7 seconds, so the full session takes about fifteen minutes. A fixed payment of $6 is set aside for this batch, and there will be more work down the line if the first round goes smoothly.
Key recording condition
• Read every sentence with natural Kansai-ben intonation; that authenticity is critical to the dataset.
Technical notes
• Record indoors where it’s quiet and echo-free.
• A phone mic is fine as long as you capture WAV at 16 kHz/16-bit or better.
• Name the files exactly as I specify and submit the signed consent form with your zip.
To start, please send:
– A quick confirmation that you’re a native Kansai speaker (include city or prefecture),
– Your age and gender,
– A 30–60 second sample in everyday Kansai-ben,
– When you’re available to complete the 200 lines.
I’ll review the sample for clarity, dialect accuracy, and background noise; once approved I’ll release the script immediately. Looking forward to hearing your Kansai voice and, hopefully, working together on future collections as well.
