NO PLACEHOLDERS. Do not insert a placeholder: please read the project details carefully because here are all the details you need to make an accurate estimation.
I am seeking targeted assistance to install Kalidroid (the Kali Linux environment for Android) on my Google Pixel 10a, which is already running the latest build of GrapheneOS.
Objective
– Create a stable setup for security testing, with all key Kali tools fully functional, without compromising GrapheneOS's security defenses.
What I expect
1. A step-by-step guide (or video-call support) for flashing or importing the Kalidroid image.
2. Configuration of network settings, permissions, and repositories to ensure penetration testing packages update correctly.
3. Final verification: running specific utilities (e.g., nmap, metasploit, wireshark) to confirm the environment operates in user-space mode without requiring root access.
4. Concise documentation of the steps taken, to facilitate repeating the process in the future.
Technical preferences
– Keep GrapheneOS security patches intact.
GrapheneOS is designed to prevent root access and the installation of custom kernels or modified recoveries as a core security measure [https://grapheneos.org/faq#why-does-grapheneos-not-support-root].
– No permanently unlocked bootloader upon completion, unless otherwise specified.
– I am open to using adb/fastboot scripts or dedicated installers, provided they are secure.
Note: It appears that Kalidroid (the Kali Linux suite for Android) requires privileged root access for full functionality (e.g., running tools like nmap or metasploit, or setting network interfaces to promiscuous mode) [https://www.kali.org/docs/nethunter/nethunter-rootless].
There is a "Rootless" variant—though it is not Kalidroid, but rather Kali NetHunter Rootless—which offers only a limited subset of tools (without access to low-level network drivers, advanced exploits, etc.).
