Kahoot-Style Employee Training App

I need a web-based and mobile-ready application that brings game mechanics into our internal training at Law Hands Consultancy. The first release must let employees join live quiz games in real time, complete self-paced courses whenever their schedule allows, and compete on leaderboards that award points, badges, and other rewards.

Content ownership sits with each department: managers and team leaders must be able to build question banks, arrange them into courses or live sessions, and track the performance of their own teams without seeing data from other areas. I still require an overall super-admin role to create accounts, set passwords, and view org-wide analytics, but day-to-day content management belongs to the departments.

Users will sign in with an email and a password that I generate for them; no social or single-sign-on is needed for the MVP. After first login they should be prompted to change their password.

Real-time gameplay should feel as smooth as Kahoot!: a host launches the session, everyone receives the question simultaneously, answers within the countdown, then sees instant feedback and ranking updates. Outside scheduled events, the same questions may live inside self-paced modules that track completion status, scores, and time spent.

• Super-admin dashboard for account creation, role assignment, and global reporting
• Department dashboard for course creation, question editing, participant tracking, and result export
• Gamification layer (points, badges, leaderboard, reward logic) applied consistently to both live and self-paced modes
• Secure email-and-password authentication with forced password change on first use
• Documentation covering setup, deployment, and hand-off of source code

I will consider the project complete once I can run the system on our server, create departments, import staff lists, launch a live quiz with at least 20 concurrent players, and verify that scores flow into the leaderboard and analytics panels without error.
